The TVS Akula 310 aka TVS Apache 310s was made global debut at the Auto Expo in 2016. Akula 310 is a fully faired concept based on the BMW G310R street-fighter motorcycle. After conducting several ground tests, TVS Akula launch date in India is not yet confirmed, but expected in the 3rd quarter of 2017 (christened TVS Apache RR 310S).
The TVS Akula 310 was spotted on public roads while testing, revealed some few key facts of the upcoming motorcycle. The production ready model, unlike the concept showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo, will feature a conventionally built with either fiberglass or ABS plastic, paint work is in probably in the matte finish.

The overall concept of TTVSAkula 310 has been inspired from the flagship big-brother BMW S1000RR. it is powered by a 313cc single cylinder liquid cooled FI (fuel injection) engine that produces 34 bhp and 28 Nm of torque. This 6-speed transmission engine is claimed to deliver approx 33 kmpl mileage. Apart from the engine, a few other main elements are — brakes from Bybre, suspension from KYB, ABS from Continental and the frame will be borrowed from the source BMW G310R.
TVS taking it as a competition against its market rivals like KTM Duke 250, Honda CBR250RR, Mahindra Mojo, etc. The TVS Akula Price in India is expected to start from INR 1.5 lakh, ex-showroom.
The upcoming TVS Akula 310 will sport a dual headlamp setup and LED pilot lamps. While the ram air-intake vents will be retained from the concept, the purpose could stand to remain purely cosmetic. A few other additions over the concept would include a tail section with a registration plate holder, turn indicators, saree guard rear view mirrors, LED tail light, and a production friendly exhaust system.
